MINDEN BANDFEST PARADE INFO!
Date: Saturday, October 17, 2026
Uniforms: FCS Marching Band t-shirt, nice jeans (no holes, rips, or tears), tall black socks, and black shoes. As of now, the weather is supposed to be cool, so we will also wear a plain black long-sleeved t-shirt under our marching band shirt. Please make sure it is a t-shirt so the collar won’t show above our band shirts.
EAT – Please make sure to eat lunch BEFORE we go! You can bring money along to get snacks at the concession stand at the end of the parade/awards.
TRANSPORTATION – Please let me know which way your student will get to Minden, and if you are available to help drive students, no later than Monday, October 12!
1. I plan to drive and will have my band student in Minden by 12:00 on Saturday.
2. I’m not going to Minden. My student will need a ride to Minden and back.
3. I am available to take students to Minden and back.
SCHEDULE
11:15 – If you are needing a ride to Minden, meet at the FCS parking lot in uniform. Find the person you are riding with and put your instrument in their vehicle.
11:25 – Leave for Minden.
12:00 – Arrive in Minden for a quick bathroom break and check in.
If you are driving separately, please contact me as to where to meet us.
12:30 – Lined up in parade order on the street.
1:00 – Parade starts. We are the 4th band in the parade. When we’re done marching, we will put our instruments away in our vehicles and go back to watch the rest of the parade.
3:00 (approximate) – Awards at Minden High School field. Band students enter free, but there is an entrance fee at the gate – $5 for adults and $3 for children.
3:30-4:00 (approximate) – Leave for Kearney.
For parents of students needing a ride, we will let you know when we’re on our way back so you can meet us and pick up your students at the FCS parking lot.

Parking Note: we plan to meet in the parking lot at 5th St and Park Ave – IF it is available and not part of construction yet. If that does not work, we will plan to park NW of the school on the corner of 5th St and N Sears Ave.
